The Water Wave table is a stunning piece of furniture that can be used in various settings, from living rooms to elegant lobbies. Its design is rooted in the concept of Yin and Yang, where opposing forces coexist harmoniously. By incorporating the motif of water, Noh Yong-won aims to convey the fluidity and circulating characteristics of thoughts and ideas.
What sets the Water Wave table apart is its unique form and construction. Made of bent steel, each line is meticulously crafted by hand and welded together. The legs seamlessly flow from the flat rectangular deck, creating a sense of continuity and harmony. The use of tempered glass for the deck adds a touch of elegance and transparency to the design.
Measuring 1400 mm x 500 mm x 450 mm, the Water Wave table is the perfect height for placement in front of a couch, adding a touch of sophistication to any living space. Its sleek and modern design allows it to blend seamlessly with various interior styles.
The production process of the Water Wave table required careful attention to detail. Each line had to be bent individually, ensuring that the curves remained natural and visually pleasing. Welding the lines together posed a challenge, as the asymmetrical legs had to be aligned correctly to maintain the table's stability. The painting process also required precision to achieve an even and flawless finish.
Recognized for its exceptional design, the Water Wave table was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019. This prestigious accolade is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and professional excellence. Noh Yong-won's creation stood out for its seamless integration of industry best practices and its ability to evoke positive emotions.
The Water Wave table is not just a piece of furniture; it is a work of art that embodies the beauty and fluidity of water. Its elegant design and meticulous craftsmanship make it a statement piece that will elevate any space it graces.
